Teaching taught me to notice people- their quirks, their smiles, the moments they don’t realize are special. Photography lets me catch those moments and hand them back.

I grew up in Colorado Springs, and spent my entire childhood exploring areas of Colorado. I picked up a camera for the first time in high school, shooting for the yearbook, and shortly after began taking senior portraits. Something about the portraits stuck with me- the challenge of getting someone to relax in front of a lens, of catching a moment before it disappeared.
For the past six years, I have worked as a teacher across Colorado and Texas. It’s a job built on paying close attention to people, and I’ve come to realize that is exactly what drew me to photography in the first place. The two have always been more connected than I gave them credit for.
I am so excited to finally be stepping into this next chapter and giving photography the space it has always deserved. Thank you for being here at the very beginning of it- I would love for you to be part of the journey with me!
